Sub: HWB Course for Flock / Guide / Ranger Sections.

Sir / Madam,

As per the Annual Programme of Training & Schedule of Event of the National Headquarters, Bharat Scouts & Guides, the above courses will be held at NTC as per details given below.

1	Name of the Courses	Himalaya Wood Badge Course (Flock/Guide/Ranger Section).
	Venue	The Bharat Scouts & Guides, National Training Centre, Pachmarhi, M.P.
	Date of the Course	20.05.2012 to 26.05.2012    (7 Days)
2	Arrival	19.05.2012 Evening or 20.05.2012 before 08.00 a.m.
3	Registration	On 20.05.2012 at 09.00 am in proper Uniform. Late comers will not be admitted for any reason.
4	Departure	26.05.2012 : 1600 Hrs. (Accordingly return journey may be made).
5	Fee	Dev. Fee. Rs. 100/- + Special Fee Rs. 50/- = Total Rs. 150/-.
6	Financial Assistance	Free hospitality during the Course will be provided. 50% Concessional 2nd Class Train fare and actual bus fare (where there is no train service) will be reimbursed on production of T.E. Bill along with Bus tickets in original and Photocopies of Train tickets. (Bring photocopies of train tickets while coming).
7	Who can Attend	Ø      Should work at least for 12 months after the completion of the Advanced course successfully. Ø      Should successfully complete the Training Study with N.T.C. Certificate. Ø      Complete successfully any two of the following conditions : (Guide / Ranger section will complete Serial No. 1 (Compulsory) and choose any one from Sr. No. 2 & 3. For Bulbul Section 2 & 3 are compulsory). 1.       Register her unit for P.M. Shield Competition / Upa Rashtrapati Award Competition and submit a certificate issued by District Organizing Commissioner (G) and District Training Commissioner (G) countersigned by District Commissioner (G) along with the application. However, the parchment will be issued only on the submission of Log book to the District Association and producing a certificate from District Organizing Commissioner (G) and District Training Commissioner (G) countersigned by District Commissioner (G). 2.     Produce at least 2 (two) Swarn Pankh Bulbuls / 4 (four) Tritiya Sopan Guides / 2 (two) Nipun Rangers as the case may be and submit a certificate from District Organising Commissioner (G) and D.T.C. (G). 3.     She should submit a progress report of her Unit on the prescribed proforma duly verified by District Organizing Commissioner (G) and District Training Commissioner (G). 4.     Photocopy of Warrant with validity.
8	How to reach	Pachmarhi is located on the Mumbai Jabalpur route (Between Itarsi and Jabalpur Station). Pipariya is the nearest Railway station from Pachmarhi. The distance from Pipariya to Pachmarhi is 56 k.m. Buses are available from Pipariya to Pachmarhi. Numbers of private jeeps are also available on nominal rate. The Bharat Scouts & Guides is just 5 k.m. from Pachmarhi bus stand. Local Conveyance available to reach National Training Centre from Pachmarhi Bus Stand. Those who are coming by private Jeep can directly come upto Bharat Scouts & Guides, NTC.
9	What to bring	Usual camp kit, Chart paper, Pen, Pencil, Sketch/Marker pen, knotting rope 3 Mtrs., Handicraft material etc. 2 Sets of complete and correct Uniform as per APRO III (Black shoes, Camel colour socks, Scarf, Woggle, Nylex Belt). Bring suitcase/Briefcase for safety of materials. Climate during May at Pachmarhi will be hot. Umbrella / cap will be useful. Kindly bring required materials for demonstration of Games and Session. ·         Selection letter issued from NTC, Pachmarhi is a must. Note : Only BSNL mobile network is working at Pachmarhi.

Note :		It is requested that participants should not bring any escorts / children with them.

Applications of candidates duly recommended by State Training Commissioner (G) should reach NTC on or before last date. LATE COMERS WILL NOT BE ADMITTED. Participants bringing application by hand will not be admitted. No candidate will proceed to NTC, Pachmarhi for the course unless and until she receives the selection letter issued from NTC, Pachmarhi.
