Sub : Himalaya Wood Badge Courses for Cub / Scout / Rover section

Sir / Madam,

As per schedule of events of Bharat Scouts & Guides, the three Himalaya Wood Badge Courses are going to held at Bharat Scouts & Guides, National Training Centre, Pachmarhi as per details. The aim of the HWB Courses is to provide opportunity to Advanced Trained Scouters to undergo the highest training of Unit Leaders i.e. Himalaya Wood Badge Course at National Training Centre, Pachmarhi and also to provide the opportunity to Trainers to assist in the courses. The courses details are as follows :

1	Name of the Courses	1.        Himalaya Wood Badge Course for Cub Masters. 2.       Himalaya Wood Badge Course for Scout Masters. 3.       Himalaya Wood Badge Course for Rover Scout Leaders.
2	Dates	19.05.2012 to 26.05.2012         (Eight Days).
3	Venue	The Bharat Scouts & Guides, National Training Centre, Pachmarhi, MP-461881 (Thurman Park)
4	Reporting	19.05.2012 : Registration at 08.00 AM in proper Uniform. Late comers will not be admitted for any reason.
5	Departure	26.05.2012 : At 16.00 Hrs. (Accordingly return journey reservation may be made.)
6	Fee	Dev. Fee. Rs. 100/- + Special Fee Rs. 50/- = Total Rs. 150/-.
7	Financial Assistance	Free hospitality during the Course will be provided. 50% Concessional 2nd Class Train fare and actual bus fare (where there is no train service) will be reimbursed on production of T.E. Bill along with Bus tickets in original and Photocopies of Train tickets to be submitted. (Bring photocopies of Train tickets).
8	Eligibility	Given as per section wise :
	Cub Masters	1.        Should work at least for 12 months after the completion of the Advanced course successfully. 2.      Should successfully complete the Training Study with N.T.C. Registration Number. 3.       Produce at least 4 (four) Tritiya Charan Cubs & Submit a certificate from District Organising Commissioner (S) and District Training Commissioner (S) as per Proforma enclosed. 4.      Should submit a progress report of his / her Unit on the prescribed proforma duly verified by District Organising Commissioner (S) and District Training Commissioner(S) as per Proforma enclosed.
	Scout Masters	1.        Should work at least for 12 months after the completion of the Advanced course successfully. 2.      Should successfully complete the Training Study with N.T.C. Registration Number. 3.       Register his / her unit for Prime Minister Shield Competition and submit a certificate issued by District Organising Commissioner (S) and District Training Commissioner (S), countersigned by District Commissioner (S). Name of participants / units must register at NHQ List. However, the parchment will be issued only on the submission of Log Book to the District Association and producing a certificate from District Organising Commissioner (S) and District Training Commissioner (S), countersigned by District Commissioner (S). Any of the following : 1.        Produce at least 4 (four) Tritiya Sopan Scouts and submit a certificate from District Organising Commissioner (S) and District Training Commissioner (S) as per Proforma enclosed. 2.      He/she should submit a progress report of his / her Unit on the prescribed proforma duly verified by District Organising Commissioner (S) and District Training Commissioner(S) as per Proforma enclosed.
	Rover Scout Leaders	1.        Should work at least for 12 months after the completion of the Advanced course successfully. 2.      Should successfully complete the Training Study with N.T.C. Registration Number. 3.       Register his / her unit for Upa Rashtrapati Award Competition and submit a certificate issued by District Organising Commissioner (S) and District Training Commissioner (S), countersigned by District Commissioner (S). Name of participants / units must register at NHQ List. However, the parchment will be issued only on the submission of Log Book to the District Association and producing a certificate from District Organising Commissioner (S) and District Training Commissioner (S), countersigned by District Commissioner (S). Any of the following : Produce at least 2 (two) Nipun Rovers and submit a certificate from District Organising Commissioner (S) and District Training Commissioner (S) as per Proforma enclosed. He/she should submit a progress report of his / her Unit on the prescribed proforma duly verified by District Organising Commissioner (S) and District Training Commissioner(S) as per Proforma enclosed.
9	What to Bring	Each participant must bring two sets of correct and complete Uniform as per APRO Part II – Nylex Belt, Black Shoes, and Black Socks. They may bring shorts and T.Shirts for B.P. Exercises. Usual camp kit, plate and mug, Toilet requisites, bedding, water bottle, odomos, torch, knotting rope, reference books, ruled and un-ruled paper, sketch pens, chart paper etc. Please bring Briefcase/Suitcase for safety of materials.  NB : Only BSNL mobile network is working in Pachmarhi.
10	Last Date	10th April, 2012.

Applications of candidates duly recommended by State Training Commissioner (S) should reach NTC on or before last date. LATE COMERS WILL NOT BE ADMITTED. Participants bringing application by hand will not be admitted. No candidate will proceed to NTC, Pachmarhi for the course unless and until he/she receives the Final Information letter issued from NTC, Pachmarhi.
